Jennifer Lafleur - Trisha

Appearing in a number of independent breakout hits (The Midnight Swim, Baghead, The Do-Deca-Pentathlon), Jennifer Lafleur has made a name for herself from her incredible performances. She has appeared and produced numerous award winning films that have screened at the best festivals across the country including Slamdance, Sundance, and SXSW. She has also had prominent roles in television's most reputable shows including HBO's Big Little Lies, Showtime's Billions, The Duplass Brothers' Wedlock, Comedy Central's Workaholics, and countless others.

Stephen Plunkett - Phillip

Plunkett sprung to major recognition after starring in the SXSW Film Festival hit The Mend, where he was crowned the SXSW breakout star. In New York he received critical acclaim in Lion Heart Theatre's run of Snow Orchid (theater critic Pete Hempstead stated that Plunkett “stole the show." He's also starred in a number of short films including Rolling on the Floor Laughing, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Mickey O'Hagan - Margaret

O’Hagan has been prominent in a number of films as well as major television hits including Homeland. She was mostly recently featured in the Sundance Film Festival phenomenon Tangerine. The film has received universal acclaim and garnered over twenty awards and thirty nominations, including the Independent Spirit Awards and Gotham Awards.

Leonora Pitts - jody

After garnering a number of television and independent film roles, Leonora Pitts established herself as an incredibly vocal voice inside and outside the film industry. She's been showcased in popular television series such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, HBO's Togetherness, and The Grinder. She most recently garnered critical acclaim for her performance in the Duplass Brothers produced film Manson Family Vacation.

logan lark - Ian

Lark spent his childhood in a long string of community theater productions after his mother realized it was the best babysitter in town. He spent a number of years teaching theatre arts to young children and high schoolers, where he acted in hundreds of his students' short films. "It was the best training I could have ever received unknowingly," he later said. He reconnected with former colleague Drew Britton in 2012, and they began writing When the King Tilts, a feature film based on Logan's experiences managing a bed & breakfast. The film went on to garner multiple awards from film festivals and led them to collaborating on additional projects.

Heather LaVine - Heidi

LaVine has done numerous television, print, and voice-over spots for local and national companies. A mutual friend introduced Heather to Drew Britton and from that Britton cast her as the principle role in his short film Richard’s 32nd, which debuted at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.  She also was a part of Britton’s short film Neither of Ours.

DREW BRITTON - DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, EDITOR, CO-WRITER

Britton is a graduate student from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he obtained his MFA in film. After making his first feature When the King Tilts, the film played a number of festivals, picking up four awards along the way. Britton's follow up was the 1960's period piece Richard's 32nd, shot entirely on 16mm film. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May of 2016. Britton then went on to complete his follow-up feature Back at the Staircase.

JESSICA FARRELL  /  CO-PRODUCER

Farrell is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she obtained a BFA in Film and Photography. She is currently a Senior Broadcast Producer for an advertising agency producing international commercial and digital campaigns including partnerships with Pixar Animation Studios and Sony Pictures. Her work has been featured on Indiewire, Adweek, NPR, and Communication Arts. She is currently in-development and production of several upcoming films, including a short film she is producing and directing which received a 2017 Milwaukee Film Brico Forward Grant. Back at the Staircase is Jessica and Drew Britton's first collaboration together.

QUINN HESTER  /  DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Hester is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he obtained a BFA in Film. He now travels the world as a freelance DP filming feature narrative and documentary films, short films, commercials, and music videos. His cinematography work with various directors has screened at SXSW, Hot Docs, and media outlets including ESPN, New York Times, Indiewire, and No Film School. Quinn has been collaborating with Drew Britton since 2012, for the cinematography for Drew's first feature film When the King Tilts, and his short film Richard's 32nd.

CHRIS JAMES THOMPSON  /  SOUND RECORDIST

Thompson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he obtained a BFA in Film and studied under Chris Smith, director of the documentary American Movie. Thompson's directorial feature documentary debut The Jeffrey Dahmer Files premiered in competition at SXSW, was acquired by IFC, and became a New York Times Critics Pick. His recent films includes The Floor That Made Milwaukee Famous for ESPN 30for30, and The 414s: The Original Teenage Hackers which premiered at Sundance, was acquired by CNN Films, and premiered on The Anderson Cooper Show. Chris has been collaborating with Drew Britton since 2012, for Drew's first feature film, When the King Tilts.

BRIAN PACKHAM / COMPOSER

Since graduating cum laude from Berklee College of Music, Packham has had his music performed by a variety of performers and ensembles including: the Baltimore Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony, Symphony Nova Scotia, Camerata Beriloche (Argentina), Kamloops Symphony (B.C.), Sinfonietta Nova (NJ), Duquesne University Wind Ensemble, the U.S. Naval Academy Percussion Ensemble, Paramount Brass, Boston Brass, MIT Concert Band, Brookline Symphony and the Arlington-Belmont Chamber Chorus. The CBC Radio Network and National Public Radio (NPR) have also featured his music. Brian has been collaborating with Drew Britton since 2012, as composer for Drew's first feature film, When the King Tilts.
